A meditation

Identity, MY identity, my cultural, racial, social, family identity …

My self-image or self-perception, my persona, public face, re-invented self …

My world … my story …

… let me set it all down, for a moment – I won’t cease to exist. I will experience myself without thinking – in the silence. With an innocent vision.

Life – vibrant life! – will replace my thinking. Thinking is like the noise of a television set left on, with nobody watching it. Meditation is like stepping out of the house just before dawn, before anyone is up and about, and stepping onto the dewy grass with your bare feet, and breathing.

Do it! Some form of daily meditational practice is absolutely essential. This has been, and is, a part of mine.
